Why the Learning Lab Exists
Glimmerglass began as a way to show children what the world could be— a place where leadership is just, where standards are high, and where character matters. It was never just a story. It was a model.
One truth became clear: people rarely rise above their leaders unless they take control themselves. And most are never shown how.
My own struggles in school made that reality impossible to ignore. The system I grew up in was built on a model over a hundred years old— efficient for scale, but not for understanding, curiosity, or the kind of mind that does not learn in a straight line.
My teaching experience took me into one of the most demanding classrooms possible: the cockpit of an aircraft, where physics shows no mercy and mistakes carry real consequences. In that environment, clarity, structure, and decision-making are not optional—they are required.
Today, we have tools that change that equation. With the right guiderails, AI can assist in research while also challenging a student to question, understand, and think—not just retrieve answers.
I believe the goal of education should continue to evolve—not just toward graduating students who have met requirements, but toward developing lifelong learners.
So I began to build what I needed as a child—and what I now know many others need as well.
The Learning Lab Studio is where those ideas become tools.
