House of Shirzan — Tales from the Glimmerglass is a seven-book fantasy series written in the style of C. S. Lewis. Ross A. Kennedy, the Author, wrote these books for his own daughter as bedtime reading as a subtle way to teach moral lessons, develop critical thinking, and introduce simple STEM lessons the family could do at home.
Book One, The Waters of the White Stag, is where we first meet a young girl on her first day at camp. While on a nature hike, she and three friends break from the group when they follow a White Stag deep into the woods toward something the counselors never mentioned.
